A Hoover? For Christmas?
I reckon my wife would rather get a bag of coal.

I suppose to put it in context these were the days when people would still use a broom to sweep the whole house, so women may very well have wanted and loved a Hoover, given that it probably gave them an hour of their day back.
That being said my wife would use it to cripple me if I gave her one.
